Beauty alone cannot explain...
…the intene
fascination the intense fascination with which orchids are regarded. No other flower has been the object of such intense interest or the subject of considerable mythology, much of it fanciful in the extreme.
Orchids are hardy plants that thrive in a variety of conditions. Like any plant, orchids require care. But they respond favorably, even eagerly, to proper treatment, and reward their caretakers by blooming luxuriantly for weeks, sometimes months on end.
Come and learn about Orchids. Barbara Andrewjeski will show you how easy it is to grow orchids in your home. Her multimedia presentation is packed with beautiful pictures, helpful growing tips and information you can use to grow beautiful orchids.
Barbara has been in the floral and plant business for most of the last 30 years. She spent 5 years as a sales rep for a tropical plant wholesaler, then 4 years as the greenhouse manager for the same company. She has established an ongoing orchid program there which is expected to grow even larger in the years to come. More recently she has opened her own laboratory where she propagates orchids from seed for commercial nurseries and hobbyists. She has also created several of her own hybrids which will be available on the market in the years to come.
Barbara has given orchid presentations to dozens of groups including several Master Gardener classes. She has written culture information for over 100 species which was published on the internet. She has been an avid orchid grower for over 10 years and hopes to someday have her own orchid greenhouse. She enjoys sharing her love of Orchids with others, especially those just getting started.
